DRIFT REVIEWS

“I like DOGS. I’ve been playing their blissfully good ‘Underbeats’ track for a bit now, and it’s been added to a few Spotify playlists. ‘Drift’ is more euphoric, perhaps more Balearic, with a delicate piano loop and more vocals. Their Out In Cover EP (released two years ago) is very impressive, but with ‘Drift’ it’s clear DOGS have plenty to more to offer. Keep an eye on them.”

“Containing DOGS broad electronic sound, ‘Drift’ is an ambitious new release from the band. The record is peppered with big, bold flourishes of electro beats and synths, finding the group embracing the sheer size of their own music sonically. It will be interesting to hear how their new E.P. follows suit.”

 DOGS / Drift – Press Release / May 2014

Having spent the last year writing and recording new material, Dublin-based indie-electronica band DOGS are back with Drift, the first track from their forthcoming EP.

The four track EP was recorded throughout 2014 with Jonathan Black in Dublin and mixed in the early part of 2015 in Jonathan’s studio in North London.

Drift features a video directed by New York based Irishman Shane Mahon, shot at Castlepalooza 2014. The track is available on iTunes and Spotify from Thursday 4th June. The full EP will be available for download and streaming later in Summer 2015 – details TBC.

DOGS formed in 2011 with the common view of making electronic music delivered with the impact of a live band. They are Andrew Brennan (vocals, guitar), Conor McGlynn (guitar), Ronan Marr (production) and Dave Sheehan (bass). Previous release Out in Cover EP enjoyed positive critical reaction and debuted at No. 1 in the iTunes Electronic Charts.

To mark the release of Drift, DOGS play midnight at Whelan’s Upstairs on Saturday 13th June. Entry is free by commenting on the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/696042350524249/
